Man arrested after gun fired in Radford

A man has been arrested after a gun was fired in the Radford area of Nottingham on New Year's Day.

Police were called to Alfreton Road at about 0640 GMT and closed the road at its junction with Hartley Road while the scene was examined.

No-one was hurt, said a spokesman for the Nottinghamshire force.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and is being questioned by detectives.
