Teenagers quizzed over Radford takeaway robbery attempt

Five teenagers have been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at a Nottingham takeaway, during which air weapons were fired at the shop.

Two masked males, carrying BB guns, tried to steal the till from UK Pizza Express in Radford Boulevard on Friday.

They left empty handed when challenged by staff, but then fired at the door from outside. No-one was hurt.

Four boys, aged between 15 and 17, and a 14-year-old girl, were arrested on Saturday and later released on bail.

Nottinghamshire police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 2335 GMT.

The first offender is a white male, who was wearing jeans and a red and black hooded top.

The second is a black male, who was wearing a chequered black and white hooded top.

Each had a black and white bandana across his face.
