Man stabbed in attack on group in Radford

A man was stabbed when he was assaulted by a group of men in Nottingham.

The 28-year-old was among a group sitting outside Highcross Court flats in Clifford Street, Radford, when they were set upon by at least 11 attackers.

He suffered several stab wounds and was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, where he is in a stable condition.

Other members of the group suffered bruising in the attack on Friday evening.

Following the incident, several of the attackers ran off and others got into a silver Seat Toledo, which was later found in Truman Close, St Ann's.

Hooded tops

Police said all the offenders were believed to be teenagers or young adult men. They were all wearing dark clothes and either had hooded tops or covered their faces.

Det Sgt John Armstrong said: "This appears to be a completely unprovoked attack, which has left one man with serious stab wounds.

"We are keen to identify members of the offending group, which was made up of at least 11 men, who were all wearing dark clothes.

"Anyone who either witnessed the attack, saw the Seat Toledo being driven or abandoned, or knows the offenders should call the police immediately."
