A new state-of-the-art maternity unit at a Nottinghamshire hospital has been officially opened.
The opening marks the completion of the £320m rebuild of the King's Mill super hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said the new unit included a birthing pool and 12 delivery rooms with ensuite facilities.
The opening coincided with the closure of the hospital's former maternity unit at the Dukeries Centre.
Alison Whitham, head of midwifery, for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: "These facilities really are first class and will enable us to continue the excellent standard of care our doctors and midwives have provided over the years at King's Mill Hospital.
"We would like to wish our new mums and mums-to-be a safe and happy time in our new unit and hope they feel proud to give birth here."
