No charges over Edwinstowe 'machine gun' scare

Two men have been released without charge after a member of the public said she was threatened with what appeared to be a machine gun.

They were questioned after a woman said the weapon was pointed at her by the occupants of a car in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire, on Monday afternoon.

A weapon seized by officers was a ball-bearing gun, said police.

The men, both aged 18, will face no further action, according to the Nottinghamshire force.
