Three arrested over Nottinghamshire post office raid

Three men have been arrested over a robbery at mobile post office in Nottinghamshire.

The postmaster was hit over the head with a mallet after parking up at the village hall in Sutton-cum-Lound on Thursday morning.

A driver tried to stop the two robbers, who had stolen cash, but was assaulted and had his vehicle taken.

No-one was seriously hurt in the incident. The arrested men, aged 36, 37 and 47, are being questioned.

The stolen car was recovered in Redford Park Avenue a short time later, police said.
