Man charged with Sherwood knife robbery

A man has appeared in court charged with carrying out a knifepoint robbery in Nottingham.

Mobile phones, cash and bank cards were taken from a group of three men in Woodthorpe Drive, Sherwood, on Sunday night.

A 21-year-old local man was arrested and appeared before Nottingham magistrates, charged with two counts of robbery and one of attempted robbery.

He was remanded in custody pending his next court appearance.

Police said the victims were also threatened by a second man and have appealed for anyone with information about the robbery to come forward.
