On 12 December the UK will go to the polls for the third time since 2015.

Voters across Northamptonshire will be asked to choose seven members of parliament.

One big issue facing the area is the planned replacement of the county council and all seven district and borough councils.

Transport is likely to be discussed as talks continue over HS2, the high-speed railway line due to be built through the area.
