Funfair worker Michael O'Brien's death 'accidental'
A fairground worker, who was crushed under a lorry moving a ride into place in a park in Northamptonshire, died accidentally, an inquest has ruled.
Michael O'Brien, 45, from Sussex, died from head and chest injuries under a trailer carrying a Twister in Wellingborough in April 2011.
The coroner's court in Corby heard Mr O'Brien suffered from depression but was not suicidal.
The fair was being set up by Stevens Amusements at Bassetts Park.
The coroner's court was told other fairground workers heard a "scream of horror" before they found Mr O'Brien underneath the lorry, which had been reversing.
The inquest jury returned the verdict of accidental death on the dead man, who lived in Shoreham-on-Sea.
