Castle Fields Park pavilion to get £270k makeover

A £270,000 makeover for a Northamptonshire park has been approved by Wellingborough Council.

It has allocated the funds to demolish the old pavilion in Castle Fields Park and replace it with new changing rooms, showers and toilets.

A new football pitch could also be part of the improvement plan, paid for by contributions from a developer, known as section 106 funding.

The council will now consult residents in the area.
