Co-op store in Daventry robbed at knife-point


A Co-op store in a Northamptonshire town has been robbed at knife-point.

The robbery took place at the supermarket in Edinburgh Square, Daventry, at about 1350 GMT on Monday.

Police said a man walked into the shop and threatened the shopkeeper with a knife, demanding money, before making off with a significant amount of money.

He was described as white, aged in his 20s, about 6ft (1.83m) tall, of slim build, with a pock marked face and high cheek bones.

He wore a baseball cap, dark coloured hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information regarding it.
