Burst water main hits 2,000 Kettering homes


About 2,000 homes were left without water when a water main burst in Northamptonshire.

The main burst at about 0400 GMT on Tuesday, affecting the Ise Lodge Estate area in Kettering, an Anglian Water spokeswoman said.

Homes on the estate and in parts of Barton Seagrave, Kettering, were left without water until about 0900 BST the spokeswoman said.

Millbrook Infant School and Kingsley School were closed as a result.
