Man killed in Northamptonshire hit-and-run crash named


The pedestrian killed when he was hit by a car that failed to stop in Northamptonshire has been named.

Stephen Edward Crockwell, 58, of Market Place in Oundle, died at the scene of the collision on Benfield Road in the town in the early hours of Saturday.

A male driver, aged 33 from the Oundle area, was traced by police and arrested in connection with the incident.

He was questioned over the weekend and subsequently released on bail pending further inquiries.
