Fatal crash driver from Northamptonshire named


A 63-year-old man who died following a crash in Northamptonshire has been named by police.

Gilbert Carter was driving a Peugeot 406 that was involved in a collision with an Audi A4 on the A6 at Irthlingborough on 4 November.

Mr Carter, of Hall Avenue, Rushden, died at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry on Friday morning.

The Audi driver, a 42-year-old man from Clapham in Bedfordshire, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
