A Northamptonshire construction company which has gone into administration has left 100 people without jobs.

Weldon Plant in Corby said its problems stemmed from its Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) overdraft being cut from £3.15m to £2.2m.

The company employed 113 people and earlier administrators Grant Thornton announced 100 people were being made redundant.

The civil engineering company has been trading for 30 years.

It has built many public parks and open spaces.

RBS had previously said it was working with the firm to resolve the issue.
