Murder probe launched in Norwich after man fatally wounded

A murder inquiry is under way after a man was found fatally wounded in Norwich.

The victim, who was in his 30s, died at the scene in Bowers Avenue after the emergency services were called on Saturday at about 14:30 GMT.

Norfolk Police, which has yet to state what the man's injuries were, say they believe it was "an isolated incident".

No arrests have been made. Forensics officers are currently at the scene and a cordon remains in place.

Det Ch Insp Pete Hornby said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and working to establish the sequence of events which led to this man's death.

"However, we currently believe this to be an isolated incident and we are working to reassure the local community. A number of officers remain in the area to continue the investigation."
