A former student has admitted secretly filming people showering, undressing and using the toilet at a university.

Luke Mallaband, 22, of Wycliffe Road in Norwich, set up secret cameras in the University of East Anglia library lavatories and also watched people while bathing and showering.

He pleaded guilty to six charges of voyeurism between 2013 and 2016 at Norwich Magistrates' Court.

Mallaband was bailed and will return to court for sentencing on 24 November.

A spokesman for the university said: "We acted promptly and decisively as soon as the allegations came to light and worked very closely with the police on the investigation.

"Luke Mallaband immediately withdrew from his course and was permanently excluded from campus."

Support is being offered to those affected by his actions, he added.
