Police searching Norfolk bungalow find 120 guns in property

About 120 firearms have been recovered from a bungalow in a Norfolk village in what police have described as a "substantial haul".

The weapons, recovered from the property in Brundall near Norwich, ranged from handguns to rifles of different ages.

Forensic teams began searching the bungalow on Holmesdale Road on Monday.

Norfolk Police arrested a man in his 60s on suspicion of firearms offences. He has been bailed until 20 July.

Det Ch Insp Andy Coller said the investigation was still in its early stages and police would be pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.

"The firearms we have seized will have to be assessed and classified and this process will take some time," he said.

The UK's biggest stash of illegal weapons, involving 400 firearms, was found at a house in Wyverstone, Suffolk in 2014.
