Homes have been evacuated near a fire at an industrial estate in Norfolk.

The blaze broke out at the North Lynn estate in Hamburg Way, King's Lynn, at about 15:00 GMT.

People living in 16 properties in nearby Nuthall Crescent have been evacuated as a precaution as the fire service believes gas canisters may be on the site.

Resident in Somersby Close and Whisson Close have been advised to stay indoors and keep away from windows.

Nine crews from Norfolk and Cambridgeshire are currently at the scene.

The fire service said the blaze was in a commercial accident repair centre containing possible gas cylinders as well as solvents.

Norfolk Police are also at the scene and road closures are in place.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
