Cyclist hurt in Great Massingham police chase crash

A cyclist suffered serious arm injuries when he was hit by a van being pursued by police in Norfolk.

The van was being followed by a police car with sirens on and lights flashing on the B1145, between Great Massingham and King's Lynn, at about 10:00 BST.

Police said the transit van, which was believed to be stolen, did not stop and was later found burned out in a nearby airfield. A man has been arrested.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the cyclist is aged in his 50s.

The force said the collision will be referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
