Kenninghall farm toddler death: Inquest opened

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a toddler who was hit by a pick-up truck at his family's Norfolk farm.

Edward Criddle, who was 22 months old, died at Wash Farm, Kenninghall, at 16:00 GMT last Thursday.

Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong heard Edward was "in collision with a vehicle driven by a farm worker".

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death arose from a skull fracture.

Mr Armstrong, sitting at Norwich, expressed his deepest sympathy to Edward's parents and all those affected by his death.
