Woman killed in Norfolk A47 tree crash named by police

A woman killed in a crash on the A47 in Norfolk on Sunday has been named as Kate Piercy, 36, from Norwich.

Mrs Piercy was killed when the Citroen car she was driving hit a tree on the Dereham bypass near the turn-off for Shipdham at about midday.

Her husband, who was in the front seat, and 10-year-old son were also seriously injured and are both in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Two other children, a girl of 12 and boy of five, were only slightly hurt.

Her husband suffered serious head injuries and multiple fractures and is said to be in a critical condition.

Her son has similar injuries but is in a stable condition.

Police would still like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
