Man remanded over Boxing Day forecourt fire in Norfolk

A 32-year-old man from Leicestershire has been charged with arson following a fire on a petrol station forecourt on the A47 in Norfolk.

The road was closed in both directions at Swaffham and nearby buildings were evacuated following the fire at a BP garage on Boxing Day.

Hussian Murad has appeared before Kings Lynn Magistrates' Court charged with arson and intent to endanger life.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in court again on 11 January.
