Sir Richard Dannatt sleeps rough by graves in Norwich

The former head of the British Army has slept in a Norwich graveyard to raise money for the YMCA.

Sir Richard Dannatt visited Prince of Wales Road, the nightlife area of the city, with street pastors on Saturday.

He and the Norfolk High Sheriff Charles Barratt and Judge Phillip Curl met homeless people and bedded down between graves at St Peter Mancroft.

Sir Richard, who lives near Norwich, became president of YMCA Norfolk earlier this month.
