Stolen railway detonators found dumped in Garston
Railway detonators stolen from a car in Liverpool have been recovered after they were dumped by thieves.
Merseyside Police said a small number of the devices were inside an orange bag with a set of tools when they were taken in Garston on Sunday.
A police spokesman said the stolen detonators were discarded in the Garston area.
Rail staff use them to warn maintenance workers of approaching trains.
Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the break-in, which also saw tools taken, to contact them.
