Daniel Fox was found stabbed outside a bar
The jury has failed to reach a verdict in the trial of a man accused of murdering a doorman outside a bar.
Daniel Fox, 29, from St Helens, Merseyside, was stabbed at the corner of Westfield Street and North John Street in the town on 2 September 2016.
A post-mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound to his body.
Leighton William Holt, 20, of Custley Hey, Stockbridge Village, who denied murder faces a retrial on 30 October at Liverpool Crown Court.
