Tributes paid to 'inspirational' mum killed in Crosby crash
A mother-of-two who died after she was struck by a car was "an inspiration" and "the picture of happiness", her family have said.
Lauren Johnson, 33, died in hospital after being hit by a Toyota Auris on College Road in Crosby, Merseyside, at about 13:20 BST on Friday.
Merseyside Police said the car's driver was helping with inquiries.
In a statement, Ms Johnson's relatives described her as "selfless" and "the glue of this family".
"Never was there a time when Lauren put her own thoughts and feelings ahead of those of others," they said.
They added they were grateful for the "kindness of the local community", which had been "both humbling and overwhelming".
