Man charged over Mark Hillman shooting in Everton

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Liverpool.

Paul John Smith faces three charges after the death of Mark Hillman, who was shot twice in the back and found in Lloyd Close, Everton on 27 April.

Mr Smith of Wyncroft Street, Dingle, has been charged with two counts of assisting an offender and a section 18 wounding offence.

He is due to appear before Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates' Court on 2 November.

Police have previously charged two men with conspiracy to commit murder.

Following the shooting, Mr Hillman, 26, died in hospital.
