Boy and girl rescued from Crosby Marina, Sefton

Two seven-year-olds have been rescued from a marina in Merseyside.

A boy and a girl were pulled out of Crosby Marina, near Cambridge Road in Sefton, by a woman and a teenager shortly before 14:30 BST after getting into difficulty paddling.

The pair are in a conscious and stable condition in hospital. They are being kept in overnight for checks.

Police are speaking to witnesses to establish how the children came to be in the water.
