Walton hit-and-run: Teen bailed after 4x4 'rams' biker

A 16-year-old boy held on suspicion of attempted murder over the "ramming" of a 17-year-old biker with a 4x4 has been released on police bail.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said the teenager, from Prenton, Wirral, was bailed conditionally on Monday evening pending further inquiries.

The biker was knocked off his scrambler in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Walton, Liverpool, on Friday.

He is critically ill in Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.

Police said they believe he was chased and "deliberately rammed" by the 4x4.

The vehicle was then driven off down Dyson Street.
