Man bailed after 'shot fired' near Liverpool school

A man who was arrested over a shot being reportedly fired at a car outside a primary school, has been released on bail, police have said.

It happened on Tuesday morning near Anfield Road Primary School in Liverpool.

The 24-year-old from Anfield was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences on Wednesday, but has been released pending further inquiries.

The school's head teacher said pupils had been "unaware" of the incident".
