A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was shot dead in a Liverpool street.

Vincent Waddington, 18, was found with serious gunshot wounds after a crash between a car and a scrambler bike in Banks Road, Garston on 14 July.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate and theft of a motor vehicle.

Officers are questioning him over two further alleged offences of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and attempting to possess a controlled drug.

Police have made a number of arrests in connection with Mr Waddington's death.
