Two held after police car rammed in Liverpool

Two men have been arrested after a police car was allegedly rammed during a pursuit in Liverpool.

Police followed a Land Rover Defender in the Sefton Park area at about 18:40 GMT on Monday after the vehicle was reported stolen in Wallasey, Wirral.

The vehicles collided at the junction of Sefton Park Road and Ullet Road.

The men, one in his 20s, the other in his 40s, are being held on suspicion of dangerous driving and stealing a car.

The car stopped when it struck a bollard on Mill Street, Toxteth, about 1.5 miles (2.5km).
