Richard Williams murder accused in Liverpool court

A man accused of murdering of a man, 64, found with serious injuries in the street, will face trial at crown court.

Matthew Connah, 37, of Barons Hey, Stockbridge Village, was remanded in custody by Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Richard Williams was found injured in Waterpark Drive, West Derby, Liverpool, early on Thursday and died in Aintree University Hospital.

Mr Connah is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday.
