Waterloo 'no helmet' biker dies in crash

A motorcyclist believed to have been riding without a helmet has died in a collision with a car.

The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after the crash, in Hicks Road, Waterloo, Merseyside.

The victim had been riding towards Crosby Road North when his 125cc motorbike was in collision with a Renault Megane.

Merseyside Police are appealing for information after the accident, which happened at about 23:00 BST on Sunday.

The female driver of the Megane stopped and is helping officers with their inquiries.

Hicks Road was closed for three hours as police examined the scene.
