Man appears in court over Aintree stabbing murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man found with stab wounds in a street in Merseyside.

Anthony Duffy, 33, of Kirkby, died in hospital after being found unconscious in Melling Avenue, Aintree, at about midnight on Tuesday.

A post-mortem examination found he died from multiple stab wounds.

John Derek Hore, 53, of Caldy Road, Liverpool was remanded by magistrates to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 13 June.
