TNT Post expands to Liverpool 'creating 500 new jobs'
A postal firm has expanded its deliveries to Liverpool, creating 500 new jobs.
TNT Post already delivers in London and Manchester.
Chief Executive Nick Wells said it chose Liverpool as its third UK city because of its "positive approach" to investment and help in targeting jobs at young and long-term unemployed.
Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson said it was a sign of the city's success at attracting big firms.
Mr Anderson said: "Together with our partners, we worked really hard with [TNT] to help target and recruit people with the right skills."
"I keep saying that Liverpool is open for business and we are now having real success in attracting high quality firms delivering substantial numbers of jobs."
TNT Post said the majority of the new recruits would make deliveries while some would work in the back office.
