Liverpool man bailed over Barclays Bank and Lloyds robberies

A 51-year-old man arrested over the armed robberies of two banks in Liverpool, which took place on consecutive days, has been bailed.

Barclays Bank in Mill Lane, West Derby, was raided on Thursday, then Lloyds TSB in West Derby Road in the nearby Tuebrook area was targeted on Friday.

The man, from Toxteth in Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of robbery.

He was released on bail pending further inquiries.
