Two men remanded over £2m Merseyside 'cannabis factory'

Two men accused of producing a controlled drug have appeared in court.

The men were arrested with seven others after 2,000 cannabis plants worth £2m were found at a former sports bar in Rice Lane, Fazakerley.

Liverpool magistrates said Chung Pham and Ly Nhan, of no fixed abode, were "between 18 and 21 years old". The pair had claimed to be younger.

They were remanded in custody to appear before Liverpool Crown Court on 26 November.

Seven other people - six men aged between 21 and 46 and a 35-year-old woman - have been bailed until April.
