The second day of the Southport Air Show has been cancelled because of high winds forecast for Sunday.

"Heavy rain and high winds are forecast on Sunday and Monday which has left the organisers with no option other than to call off the event," said a spokesman.

The spokesman said details for any refunds would be made available on Monday via the visitsouthport website.

The Red Arrows were the main attraction on Saturday, the first day of the air show.

Other aircraft taking to the skies include the Typhoon, the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight.
