Fugitive cocaine importer Liam Johnson given six more months' jail time
A Merseyside man who went on the run before he was due to be sentenced for importing Class A drugs has been handed an extra six months in prison.
Liam Johnson, 33, from Bootle, had admitted importing cocaine but skipped bail in October. He was jailed for 11 years in his absence in December.
Johnson, who was captured by police in Southport on Wednesday, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court earlier.
The six-month sentence was imposed for bail offences and fraud.
Johnson will serve the sentence in addition to the 11-year term imposed in December.
