A campaign to attract international investment to Cheshire has been launched with a two-day 'business expo' at Chester racecourse.
Celebrate Cheshire aims to attract large-scale investment to grow the region's £22bn economy.
Cheshire-based companies including Bentley and Grosvenor are taking part in the event on Friday and Saturday.
Indian and Chinese investors will take helicopter flights over the county to identify potential investment areas.
Chris Brown, chief executive of Marketing Cheshire, said: "In the past, city regions like Liverpool and Manchester have been more energetic in pushing their assets while Cheshire has been a little bit more sleepy in terms of talking about those things.
"Now we're actually talking enthusiastically about the assets and opportunities in the county."
The North West Fund, financed by the European Investment Bank and the European Regional Development Fund, has £185m to encourage businesses to locate and invest in the region
