Chester petrol station shop damaged by fire

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a petrol station in Chester.

The fire broke out in the shop of the BP garage in Tarvin Road at about 04:30 BST, and was well alight when crews arrived.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said about 20 firefighters extinguished the fire. Crews remained at the scene on Sunday morning damping down.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but an investigation is due to be carried out.
