Ten people have been charged with drugs and firearms offences after a series of police raids in Liverpool.

Fifteen people were arrested as police searched properties in Anfield, Fazakerley, Walton, Haydock, Halewood and Netherton on Monday.

Merseyside Police have charged eight men, aged between 32 and 56, and two women, aged 30 and 53, with a number of offences.

They were all due to appear before Liverpool magistrates on Monday.

All of those appearing face conspiracy to supply class A drugs charges. One of the women also faces a charge of possession of a firearm.

Two people were released without charge and three others remain in custody for questioning.
