More arrests in Liverpool shooting murder inquiry

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was shot during a robbery in Liverpool.

Asif Bashir, from Allerton, was shot in the legs at a house in Edinburgh Road, Kensington, on 6 August.

He was taken to hospital and later discharged but a month later he began feeling unwell and was taken to hospital in Manchester, where he died.

One 21-year-old man has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm, robbery and wounding with intent.

A 20-year-old man, from Norris Green, was arrested on Tuesday and a 28-year-old man, from Anfield, was arrested earlier.

Both have now been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
