Croxteth shooting victim 'critically ill'


A 28-year-old man has been shot in the stomach in Liverpool.

Hospital staff alerted police after a wounded man was brought in for treatment shortly after 1730 GMT.

Merseyside Police believe that the man, who has not been named, was shot in the Stonedale Crescent area of Croxteth.

Officers have spoken to two other men who are thought to have been with the victim at the time of the shooting. Stonedale Crescent has been cordoned off for forensic examinations.
