Inquiry after shots fired in Liverpool street


Detectives are investigating after shots were fired in a Liverpool street.

Police were called to Chesterton Street, Garston, at about 2240 GMT on Sunday after receiving reports a 28-year-old man had been attacked.

When they arrived they found the victim with injuries to his face and evidence of shots having been fired. The man did not have bullet wounds.

Officers sealed off the area for forensic examinations and are making door-to-door inquiries.
