Man crushed by a bus after street row in Liverpool

A 52-year-old man was seriously hurt when he was pushed into the road and hit by a bus in Liverpool city centre.

The man was attacked after getting into an argument with a middle-aged couple at a bus stop on London Road on 29 August.

Merseyside Police said he was attacked by a man and pushed into the road, before a bus went over his left leg.

He was treated for serious crush injuries and remained in hospital for eight days. Anyone who witnessed the incident was urged to call police.

The male suspect is white, aged 50 to 60 years old, between 5ft 5in (1.65m) and 5ft 10in (1.77m) tall of a stocky build.

He was wearing a dark coloured top and smart dark-coloured trousers. He had short, grey thinning hair.

The woman who was with the man was white, aged about 60 and about 5ft 4in (1.6m) tall. She was wearing a flowery top with black trousers.

Police said the victim had been discharged from hospital and was undergoing physiotherapy.
