Father dies in front of daughter in minibus collision

A father driving a minibus has been killed in front of his 11-year-old daughter as it crashed into a central reservation in Merseyside.

The 33-year-old man from Hindley, Wigan, died in the crash at the junction of the East Lancashire Road and Houghtons Lane, St Helens.

His daughter, who was in a back seat when the crash happened at 2110 BST on Wednesday, suffered a grazed leg.

Police have urged any witnesses to come forward.
