A man has been charged with murdering a man who was found dead at a home.

David Toulson, 40, was pronounced dead after police were alerted to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in Adelphi Street, Salford, on Saturday.

James Johnson, 29, who has been charged with his murder, is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday.

Mr Toulson's family said it was with a "heavy heart and disbelief that our beloved son, brother and uncle Dave tragically lost his life".

"As a family we are heartbroken beyond belief to have lost him so young," the relatives said in a joint statement.

"He will be forever in our hearts and missed by many."
